I was trying to book an appointment the other day and somehow ended up in a relationship.
First, I had to call.
Then leave a voicemail.
Then wait for a callback.
Then answer questions.
Then find a time.
Then receive a text.
Then confirm the text.
Then fill out paperwork.
By the end of it, I felt like I was cheating on my wife. I had talked to this woman way more than I wanted to.
Some businesses are making it way too hard to give them money.

If I can order food, get an Uber, transfer money, and buy concert tickets from my phone at 11:37 PM while wearing balling shorts, I should be able to book an appointment with your business without getting a new pen pal (do people still have pen pals?).
The truth is, your clients don’t want to talk to you as much as you think they do. I’m an introvert, I damn sure don’t wanna talk to you that much. I have hear from clients, they don’t either.
They want answers. They want availability. They want a clear next step. And they want it now.
Not tomorrow. Not when you’re back from lunch. Not after you finish your third networking event of the week. Now dammit!!
That’s where automation comes in. Not the creepy robot kind. The helpful employee kind that sends confirmations, answers questions, delivers intake forms, schedules appointments, sends reminders, and keeps things moving while you’re busy doing the actual work.
Meanwhile, some business owners are still manually sending the same email for the 847th time.
That aint customer service. That’s a copy-and-paste workout.
Every task you automate is one less thing living rent-free in your head. Less follow-up. Less scheduling chaos. Less “just checking in” emails. More time doing the work you’re actually paid to do.

Your website doesn’t need artificial intelligence. It needs common sense. Let people book. Let automation handle the routine stuff. And stop treating every appointment like a hostage negotiation.
Your future self will thank you.
